Effective Scientific Presentations Workshop

This workshop is designed to help students and researchers to master effective scientific presentation skills. Whether you are a complete beginner or you have some speaking experience, the course will provide you with useful hints. We will build up a very friendly, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where to practice speaking and learn from each other. After the workshop, participants will have a set of tools that will help them immediately improve their presentations and a framework for continuous improvement.

What is an effective presentation?

How to structure a presentation

How to deliver the presentation that stays in people's mind

How to maximize the impact of your voice

Instructor: As a passionate speaker, Alan Crivellaro is fascinated by the pleasure of finding things out. He uses his passion for the science of the natural world to inspire students and colleagues scientists to enhance their scientific presentation. His aim is to get more and more people inspired in doing and sharing exciting science.

*** After the workshop, PhD attendees will receive a certificate to justify the activity in the RAPI.
